Overview
Built around frequency-agile DSMR technology, the DSK-518B receiver delivers superb range and response, especially in noisy RF environments where a solid 2.4GHz link is crucial. Not only is the 2.4ghz link solid, this model also implements our lightning fast 5.5ms frame rate, providing a quicker , low-latency connection for the pro-level enthusiast.
The DSK-518B also features a new, modern case design that is small, streamlined, and ready for nearly any RC application. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for seamlessly easy installation.
Compact Design
The DSK-518B is capable of being placed in very small and tight builds. We eliminated un-needed angles to streamline the receiver casing and to make installation easier than ever before. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for those custom models that do not provide a route for the antenna installation.
Gas Mode Failsafe
Built into The DSK-518B is our newest failsafe mode for surface applications, Gas Mode Failsafe. Easyily selectable during binding, Gas Mode allows users to preset the failsafe position of all available channels. Additionally drivers can utilize SmartSafe ™ failsafe which drops throttle to the lowest point and holds the last known command on the rest of the available channels.
Wiring & Setup Instructions (Polished Official Version for Listing, Grammar Fixed, Logical Reorganized, RC Standard Terminology)
Wiring Method
Receiver Port Definition:
- GYRO: Servo channel connection
- CH2: ESC connection
Important Note: Complete all configuration after the receiver binds successfully.
Gyro Sensitivity Control
Gyro sensitivity is controlled via the CH3 channel on your transmitter.
- CH3 = 0% → Sensitivity = 0
- CH3 = -100% / +100% → Maximum sensitivity (100%)
Two independent optimized sensitivity curves designed for drifting are available:
- -100% ~ 0% (Master Mode)
Ultra-fast response. Not recommended for beginners.
- 0% ~ +100% (Normal Mode)
Moderate response. Recommended default mode.
Recommended CH3 sensitivity range: 35% ~ 60%
Gyro EPA Calibration
Set your desired steering EPA (left/right travel) on the transmitter first before gyro calibration.
1. Forward Direction Calibration
- Hold down the gyro SETUP button, then power on the ESC.
- LED sequence: Single flash → Slow flash → Fast flash → Slow flash again.
Release the SETUP button after the second slow flash (wait 2 seconds to confirm entering calibration mode).
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the LEFT maximum EPA position and hold for several seconds.
Once the gyro saves the left limit, the servo returns to center automatically.
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the RIGHT maximum EPA position and hold for several seconds.
Once the gyro saves the right limit, the servo returns to center automatically. Calibration finished.
2. Reverse Direction Calibration
- Hold down the gyro SETUP button, then power on the ESC.
- LED sequence: Single flash → Slow flash → Fast flash → Slow flash again.
Release the SETUP button after the second slow flash (wait 2 seconds to confirm entering calibration mode).
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the RIGHT maximum EPA position and hold for several seconds.
Once the gyro saves the right limit, the servo returns to center automatically.
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the LEFT maximum EPA position and hold for several seconds.
Once the gyro saves the left limit, the servo returns to center automatically. Calibration finished.
Suggestion: Adjust CH3 sensitivity within 35% ~ 60%
GT55 Gyro / Gyro-Receiver Factory Reset
Use this reset procedure if you encounter servo jitter or abnormal gyro operation:
- Press and hold the gyro SETUP button, then power on the ESC.
- Red LED will flash, then flash rapidly, and finally slow flash before steady illumination. Keep holding the button for 40–60 seconds.
- Power off the ESC, then power on again. The gyro has been fully reset.
